My September/October archery elk hunts are conducted on some of the
finest private land ranches found anywhere. I own exclusive hunting
rights on these ranches, and the trophy
potential is fabulous! All of my hunting
area lies within Montana hunting
district 590. The bulls found in HD 590
are "World Class". Two factors
contribute to the fantastic trophy quality
available in HD 590. First, HD 590 is a
"limited entry" bull elk rifle hunting
district. This means that bull elk are on
a very strict quota for rifle hunters. Second, HD 590 has extremely
limited access due to the fact that the majority of the land is private.
Both of these factors gives bull elk a chance to mature and attain the
age necessary for optimum horn growth.
My client hunters are allowed to harvest a buck mule deer in addition to
bull elk at no additional charge. Although the main focus on this hunt is
bull elk and buck mule deer are not commonly taken, my clients have
harvested trophy mule deer to 202 P&Y gross. The story of that hunt

The possibility of a hunter harvesting a 350P&Y or larger bull on this
hunt is not unrealistic. My clients have harvested bull elk up to 403 P&Y
